MyADManager 0.9.3 Released !
For all those users having trouble setting up MyADManager to display ADS, things just got easier.
Please Update MyADManager directly via Wordpress Automatic Plugin updater. Since, the new version carries out some database tweaks.
If you haven`t updated via the Wordpress Automatic Plugin Updater, then
- Deactivate the plugin
- Upload the latest version to the server. Overwrite if necessary.
- Re-activate Plugin
The latest fixed version is 0.9.3
- Widgetized : Those of you who always found adding code here and there is tough and boring, things got easier to display ADs on your website without you directly adding any code. MyADManager is widgetized, you can directly go and add the MyADManager Widget to your sidebar.
- Margins : Instead of editing CSS files, now you can directly edit the margins for each AD via the MyADManager Admin Panel->Options Page.
More Information regarding the same can be found Here.

Hello! How can I change the currency in the current plugin to Euros? Thanks!

Great plug-in, so I wanted to give back. There will be issues for you if users visit with IE6. The CSS Fix for IE6 ( for those few still stuck with users who have not upgraded)
In /myadmanager-main.php find:
.myadmanager_ads {float: left; height:125px; width:125px; margin:$margin_array[0]px $margin_array[1]px $margin_array[2]px $margin_array[3]px;
}
add "display: inline;"
so it looks like
.myadmanager_ads {float: left; height:125px; width:125px; margin:$margin_array[0]px $margin_array[1]px $margin_array[2]px $margin_array[3]px; display: inline;
}
simple fix

Hi, I just installed your plugin in the latest wordpress 2.7.1 and everything worked fine until I added one ad. After that the admanager is now just showing the header bar in the admin “id Ad Name Link Start date End Date Days Left Active Type of Ad Actions” but no data or any other info to ad another ad. The one ad I could add, is showing up on the website, but no data shows up anymore in the admin? I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling, but no change.

Hi,
i am a italian blogger and my money is Euro.
How do to modify MyADManager to work with euro and PayPal ?
Sorry for my english !
November 25, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Hi, I’m just giving my suggestion with regards to your plugin. Currently the plugin serves only 125×125 ads. Is it possible for it to serve ads of other sizes? Like 468×60, etc. It will be wonderful if a single plugin can manage various kinds of ads. Nevertheless, great plugin! Thanks!

@investmoneylab
I assume you are trying to show ads inside a Page ??
Are you typing the php code inside a page ??
Once the widget is added, it is not available to be added another time. You have to remove the widget you added before to place it in a new location.
I have never tried to call it from a page. I assume it must work well.

Hi, Micheal,
I wanted to use the widget. I have added the MyAdManager widget on my main home page. However, I tried to add the widget for my single page, but the widget is no longer available.
I tried to create a text widget using Wordpress and paste in the php code as your instruction, still I can’t show my ads for my single page.

@ChuckMcB
Thanks for notifying. I am looking into it right now. Will update you shortly !
November 18, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Found a conflict with another plugin. When I enable Wordpress-link-directory (http://www.seanbluestone.com/wp-link-directory) the ad form is no longer displayed, but in stead just the short code is shown. If I disable the link-directory plugin the ad form appears fine.
Any idea what’s causing it?
November 17, 2008 at 9:15 pm
@InvestMoneyLab
Are you trying to display ads in multiple locations ?
If yes, you can use the widget to display in the sidebar & if you want to display the ads in some other location, you can use
< ?php myadmanager_show(); ?>
inside your corresponding template file !

Hi Micheal,
I tried to follow your suggestion to copy the “” into a text widget on my sidebar, but it just does not display the ads. I am using Wordpress 2.6.2.
But I can display the ads if I used the “MyADManager” widget, however, this widget can only be added once.
Any idea how I can rectify this issue?
Thank you.
Any idea why?

Hello PzheL,
Currently MyADManager doesnt allow this.
The next version i.e MyADManager 1.0 is in development, perhaps you can give your wishlist ?
Although If a transaction occurs, MyADManager does record the name,email and other information and can be viewed from the Transaction Log.

Greetings Michael!
First of all, thanks for the wonderful plugin! Next, I would like to ask if it is possible for you to create another page (on wordpress) where we users can customise the Ad purchase page (like the ad manager option page)? For instance, adding in the name of the buyer at the purchase form, etc.? Thanks.
November 5, 2008 at 2:48 pm
> while HOME ads are not rotated
Ahh that’s it then.
Thanks Michael.
November 5, 2008 at 9:33 am
Hey Chuck,
from what I can understand, it seems you have space to display one ad 125×125px and you want all ur ads to be shown in that space randomly.
You can do that, just create ads as OUTSIDE ads in your Admin side. All the outside ads are shown randomly in other words rotated. while HOME ads are not rotated.
*Note if you are using Super-Cache or any other caching plugin, there is a chance that the ads might not rotate.

Perhaps I’m trying to use myadmanager for something it wasn’t actually designed for, but I’ve been testing it out with a site that only has room for one 125×125 ad. I was expecting all the ads to be rotated in random, seems that only the last ad is shown.
November 1, 2008 at 11:32 pm
hey,
actually there is no widget, although instead of displaying the ads in the sidebar, you can display them anywhere in the template using
This will replace with the ads.

Hi, I just have a question, I could only find one widget which I used it for my sidebar_home, is there anyway to have another widget such that I can add it to my single post and single page?
Thank you.

Wonderful Plugin, that will definitely help to reduce a lots of unnecessary paper works…
October 31, 2008 at 3:41 pm
Another suggestion: in some cases I would like to run 120×60 ads. Can we have an option to do so. I could imagine in the long run wanting to run 125×125 *and*120×60 on two different parts of a page, perhaps that should be something to keep at the back of your mind.
October 29, 2008 at 7:53 pm
It’s working great – I would love to see translation of this plugin and ability to set the currency (not everyone is using dollars, sorry). Perhaps in next version?
October 29, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Thanks for the update Michael, working fine for me.
Seems the “Margin around Each AD” is just not working on my theme. When I swapped over to another theme the Margin settings worked as expected. Unsure if you want to have a look at the theme I use to see if this is going to be a more common issue. (same css div name being used?)
(One thing I did find was that I had to disable the widget before changing theme otherwise I didn’t have a ‘add’ link beside ‘MyAdManager’ in the widget page, again this could have been a theme based bug)
Wish list:
- edit ‘home’ ads from admin page
- option to change currency
- (and now a biggie) Stats page for purchers, integrated with WP admin perhaps? Show impressions/clicks/time left?

0.9.3 is the latest version.
Some bugs and conflicts were fixed
Thanks for reporting. You can also post your wish list here. What you would expect MyADManager to have in the forth coming versions.

Thanks for update. I just updated to latest version and now it seems to work ok.
I am testing it on my blog:http://tjantunen.com

Just found and installed your plugin, looking good.
Couple of bugs I’ve found:
- The “Margin around Each AD” settings seems to be ignored, I’ve it set to “10,10,10,10″ but still the ads are jammed together
- I see this error on the MyADManager widget: “Warning: Missing argument 1 for widget_myadmanager_control() in /home/dubaisan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/myadmanager/myadmanager-main.php on line 82″
- Can’t see to find a way to edit an advert (one for the wish list perhaps?)

Version 0.9.2 broke my blog, it messed up my sidebars and footer somehow. So I have to deactivate the plugin. I am going to install previous version, because it was working fine.
