Master…. you are a God, you wins the heaven whit this procedure, I downgrade mi iphone 2G whit Firmaware 3.1.3 to 1.1.4, it was whit baseband 04.05.04_G, and y it was cleaned an insert the original of the 1.1.4 Firmware, and jailbreak & unlock. This was whit a Operator named Comcel to Colombia Country. Thank's

i have an phone 1g but when i get to mdu mode an keep the shift button press doesn't popped any browse up i did it with itunes 7.5

This guide is a bit out of date now. I couldn’t do this with my 3.1 firmware iphone 2g as itunes 7.5 doesn’t give you a restore button at all!
Solution to this is to use latest itunes, stick your phone into restore mode and then flash it to version 3.0 (by downloading 3.0 firemware and holding shift). Then run Redsn0w to sim unlock, activate, jailbreak it.

Finally got it all the way to the latest versions available, it is perfectly working now although with AT&T, but managed to do what Apple did not do, probably they were just trying to sell me a new iphone, they wanted 200US for repairing/exchanging the 2G 4GB iphone, CRAZY, that’s what the 3Gs costs, right?

Hey,
first i’d like 2 thank u 4 ur time & tremendous effort u’ve put in making this guide ..

well my prob is that after i put my iphone in dfu mode & itunes starts extracting the firmware it suddenly tells me that iphone can’t be restored error (1) then itunes does not detect my iphone & the recovery mode logo does not show .. what now ??

It worked for downgrading from somewhere in between 1.1.4 and 1.1.1 to 1.0.2, just when I thought it was broke, I followed steps remaining and it worked, though I did not have to go thru the ziphone part since now I’m using an AT&T Sim, what I don’t know is how far up may I go now, anybody knows? this is an original iphone which was somehow unlocked, I used it for some time with TMobile unfortunately don’t know the method used and unsure if I have to virginize it, since iTunes told me it was restored to its factory settings after following your steps. Any help is appreciated.

hi michael im trying to do everything say but im stuck at step 5 the kiphone sticks at the third time it says loading zibri.dat I dont know if i have the wrong program….Is kiphone the same as ziphone patched by kIREmK? if its not, can yu tell me where to get the real program? i got an error 1011 while restoring the first time.

Rajnish, it seems that the new iPhone 2.2.1 is region free and doesn`t seem to lock it self either ways,
you can downgrade to the old version.
i haven`t quite got what you meant by error # 5 ?
what is the error exactly ??
